In Nuevo Casas Grandes, Armel and Gwendal had their last haircut, and shave before the USA. We kept the "bigote" since it was truely a case of "when in Rome..." *

Our last mexican taco/burrito in a school bus. Mexico in our minds stands tall as truely one of the great culinary epicenteres of the world!!!
With such variety and delicate flavours, all from local ingredients... sustainable eating role model. *

Not without a little sense of adventure we chose the most remote US-Mexico border.
They average two cars a day and 3 marijuana drug busts a month!!!
The El Berrendo - Antilope Wells NM. Crossing was very quiet. But we had 75km on each side without anything, no water, no food, just rattlers, roadrunners and coyotes *

Out of Ignatio Zaragosa, we got a good tip on a newly paved road and an escort for 10km. *

Our last stay with the Bomberos (fire dept.) in Nuevo Casas Grandes. All thoughout latin America the Hospitality and bonhomie has been amazing with the bomberos. *

Dead Cows, dead dogs, dead cats, dead coyotes, dead donkeys, dead snakes, dead horses.... etc.... it is a constant and sometimes smelly reminder of the dangerous climate and the dangers that we face on the road. *

It took us a little while to warm up to the idea of an open faced chicharron. But eventually in Nuevo Casas Grandes Tania bravely took the plunge! and reports that it was really good. *

On our second night out of Creel, we were close to Guerrero, but we did not beat the sunset and set up camp in the dark.
But, this one was an especially good sunset ride. *
