Not without a little sense of adventure we chose the most remote US-Mexico border.
They average two cars a day and 3 marijuana drug busts a month!!!
The El Berrendo - Antilope Wells NM. Crossing was very quiet. But we had 75km on each side without anything, no water, no food, just rattlers, roadrunners and coyotes

Dead Cows, dead dogs, dead cats, dead coyotes, dead donkeys, dead snakes, dead horses.... etc.... it is a constant and sometimes smelly reminder of the dangerous climate and the dangers that we face on the road.
